“Welcome to WordPress.com” was the figurative bottle of champagne colliding against the hull of my narratively filled maiden voyage. I’ve never blogged before today. I just didn’t have the time to commit to what seemed like an arduous task. But then I was introduced to facebook.com and found myself posting daily quotes in place of my status and enjoyed connecting with people in such a positive way. After one year of daily FB posting and connecting with over 1500 friends who share common interests, I am ready to take the plunge into blogsville.
It is a very interesting sensation, it almost feels like I am learning to walk or ride a bike for the first time. I’m like that young toddler who stands wobbly on two untested legs, supported by a nearby sofa, I feel like I only have two choices, let go and fall back down to the starting point < where most people say it’s safer; free from cyber criminals who want to steal your identity/soul and wreck your life > or let go and run like “Forrest Gump” towards what is ahead of me < A new and exciting form of intellectual expression that elevates my consciousness and broadens my circle of influence>. With a ready mind, wit and virtual “writing pen”, I confidently choose the latter.
